Q&A with M.King: Behind the Scenes: '250 Years of Faith in America' Project
This Q&A with M. King talks about the heart behind the new "250 Years of Faith in America" project and what visitors will discover inside the digital gallery
Q: What was the initial spark or inspiration behind creating the "250 Years of Faith in America" project?
M.King: To be frank, I initially wanted to create something that focused strictly on the faith aspect. This was originally going to be a simple Cross First News gallery. But just as we were about to work on it—I mean, after six months of praying about this—it's like the Spirit started taking over and moving. He moved me to put it on the main website for our ministry and to make it more than just a simple gallery. It's almost as if the Lord wanted me to use this to usher in a revival, if you will. I think this is the perfect time for us to experience one as a nation. God is setting us up to focus on our faith and, I believe, go back to our roots.
Q: With 250 years of history to choose from, how did you decide which specific faith milestones to highlight in the gallery?
M.King: You know, this was really a challenge for me because you're tempted to want to focus only on the cookie-cutter moments in history, right? But I really wanted to focus on something different. I wanted to focus on things that we don't normally think about. So, I looked to AI. I had AI generate 25 different points across three different gallery ideas—so that's 75 different pieces of information provided by AI that I had to sort through to make this thing work.
I'll tell you this: AI didn't put all the gallery facts in chronological order, so I had to sort through it all myself to verify the information. Then, when it came down to the visuals, I had to manually find 25 different photos for the gallery to bring it to life. It was a lot of data to comb through, but I think in the end, it turned out really, really well.
Q: What is one historical milestone featured in the project that personally surprised or inspired you the most while researching it?
M.King: We often find ourselves in seasons where we look at what we're doing and question God's will. We think it’s point A to point B, but sometimes God takes us into the wilderness. Like Elijah by the river being fed by the raven—it might not seem like much, but God is still at work. For our organization, this is a "big win." It’s a sign that God is moving in the still, small ways that matter most to others. It proves that even in the quiet seasons, we are still a digital lifeline.
Q: What is one historical milestone featured in the project that personally surprised or inspired you the most while researching it?
M.King: One of the historical milestones that surprised me actually happened less than 60 years ago. I loved how, when the astronauts were flying around the Moon on Christmas Eve, they ended up reading from the Book of Genesis to millions of people via television, and people tuned in to it. Do I think that's something that could happen today? Hard to tell. I do think it would take a lot more effort to make it happen, but I think it would still reach people. It just might reach them differently than it did 60 years ago.
Q: For a Christian family visiting the digital gallery, what do you hope is the main takeaway they walk away with?
M.King: For a family or anyone visiting this gallery, I certainly hope they walk away with the reassurance that while this nation looks like it's slipping away from God, He has done so much. Sometimes it feels like we are small and God is huge, but God is still for us.
God can do great things in this nation, and this project shouldn't just make the nation feel grand and big; it should put the focus squarely on God. I want families visiting this to walk away and say, "You know what? Maybe we as a nation are downplaying God. Maybe I am putting Him in my own small little box instead of realizing that God is far bigger and can do far more in my life and the lives of others than I could ever conceive."
Q: Looking beyond the anniversary, how do you hope the "250 Years of Faith" project impacts the next generation of believers in America?
M.King: I hope it reminds them that we are not dealing with a novice God. We are dealing with the sovereign God who not only raised up the nation of Israel but is also behind the history of countless other nations, including our own. I hope it reminds them that faith is what brought this nation to where it is today, and it's what sustains the people who believe in Him.
There will be times ahead when things look dark, and the next generation might feel completely alone. But I hope they look back on past patterns. As it says in Romans 15:4, "For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope." I hope they remember that the testimonies written down throughout our history were preserved to give us hope today and to guarantee their hope tomorrow.

Q&A with M.King: State of the Ministry At 13 Years - SPECIAL EDITION
Celebrating 13 years of M.King Media! In this Q&A, M.King discusses the highlights of the 2026 State of the Ministry Report.
Q: "M.King, this entire idea started last year. You felt God moving and inspiring you, drawing a parallel from a very familiar structure—your favorite football team, the Jacksonville Jaguars.
So, without any further ado, what exactly are we going to start talking about this year?
M.King: Honestly, I wasn’t thinking so much about the numbers as I was about the activation. This was the first major campaign we’ve launched in a long, long time—certainly since before our 10th anniversary. Not only to see something like this succeed, but also to see how many people interacted with the gallery was incredible. It was nice to see that our mission is still hitting the mark.
Q: With 260+ people engaging with these rituals, did you see a trend in what connected most with the audience?
M.King: The first area I want to dive into is M.King Media INC.’s project highlights and milestones. We’re looking at everything that has taken place, from pole to pole, between May 20th, 2025, and May 20th, 2026:
>> Introduced our 1st "Featured Gallery" on Cross First News.com
- Helping believers to learn more about Martin Luther and Reformation Day
>> Produced "Cross First News special: AI on the Rise."
- Debuted as our 2nd CFN special, talking about what God's people can learn about AI and how it's impacting them and the world at large
>> 3rd "Cross First News special: Gun Violence Against God's People" went into production in October 2025
- This production will look at Gun violence and how the people of God are dealing with it, and overcoming
>> The Motivate 2025 event was celebrated
- Our annual event was held in September 2025 to kick off our 13th ministry year and encourage believers to step out and bless their community in some capacity, big or small
>> Launched "The Nativity Channel" in November of 2025
- This allowed believers the ability to watch Christ-centered Christmas content 24/7 from Thanksgiving to New Year's Eve
>> Relaunched our social media initiative
- Begin posting 30sec - 2min clips giving people biblical insight from our media productions
>> Launched 8 AI Coordinators
- We expanded our organizational reach by implementing AI Ghost coordinators. These 8 coordinators allow us to expand our operations, expand our knowledge, and focus more on God's calling even more behind the scenes
Q: There are a lot of projects between anniversary dates! So, what's the next thing we're going to look at, and how has this organization grown beyond the world of media and news?
M.King: The next area we are going to explore is how God has allowed us to strengthen our strategic partnerships. These alliances are vital because they directly equip us to fulfill the mission He has called us to achieve: pointing people to the person of Jesus Christ through every single one of our media productions:
>> Added 2 news sources to Cross First News.com
M.King Media INC. has successfully secured new strategic partnerships to fuel the continued growth of CrossFirstNews.com. As we advance the development of our dedicated news aggregator platform, we have had the privilege of integrating premium content feeds from globally recognized publishers.
Recent additions include The Gospel Coalition (established July 2025) and The Times of Israel (established January 2026). These alliances bring our total platform reach to six diverse, high-quality news sources, allowing us to provide the public with a comprehensive, well-rounded perspective of global events viewed through a faith-based framework.
>> We are partnering with Strimm to start work on Cross First News +
In February 2026, our organization officially began development on our next 24/7 faith-based media channel. Following the successful launches of The M.King Media Channel and The Nativity Channel, we are now preparing to introduce Cross First News +.
This new platform will deliver 24/7 Christian news programming, utilizing content from our extensive news aggregation network alongside exclusive original media. Our vision is to cultivate a trusted space where viewers can deepen their faith and understanding, standing firm against a culture that increasingly distances individuals from Jesus Christ.
We believe Cross First News + will serve as a vital resource within the broader Cross First News ecosystem. By anchoring global reporting in a steadfast commitment to our Savior, this channel will offer viewers the unique opportunity to stay informed about world events while remaining deeply rooted in their faith."
Q: Switching from our partnership milestones, the next area we need to talk about involves our direct community impact?
M.King: The next thing we're going to look at is how God has allowed us to take our focus and our mission beyond the four walls and reach the lives of people out in the Christian community. We're going to look at 3 community milestones
>> Strategic Highlights: "Motivate 2025" and Digital Maximization
In September of 2025, our organization had the distinct opportunity to impact lives through our 10th annual Motivate 2025 event. This year, we took an innovative approach by partnering with the independent musical duo Nai and Jay, who provided excellent, royalty-free music for the production.
Additionally, we executed a new distribution strategy by adapting the core event content into high-impact, short-form videos. This allowed us to distribute our message globally across digital platforms, expanding our audience footprint far beyond the live event. This strategic milestone significantly amplifies our reach and ensures that the mission of the campaign continues to inspire long after the conclusion of the event.
>> Community Impact: Local Outreach Partnerships
In line with our annual Motivate event, we're committed to impactful community outreach. For this year’s project, we partnered with the Arizona Food Bank Network to help provide 450 meals to families and individuals in need.
This accomplishment is a significant milestone for our ministry, as we have fully funded this initiative. It stands as a powerful reminder that effective community outreach does not always require a physical presence; rather, vital support can be delivered through strategic, direct financial contributions. Through this partnership, we are honored to extend the love of Christ beyond our media platforms and directly into the hands of our neighbors.
>> Global Engagement: The Easter Around the World Campaign
In April 2026, we launched a strategic global media initiative centered around our curated Cross First News interactive gallery, which highlighted how different nations celebrate Easter. By deploying a targeted social media campaign to expand our digital footprint, we welcomed over 260 visitors from across the globe to the gallery. This initiative provided an international audience with the unique opportunity to witness, reflect upon, and celebrate the diverse ways various cultures honor our Savior during Holy Week.
Q: Lastly, as we bring our look at the State of the Ministry Report to a close, what exactly does this organization see when it comes to the future?
M.King: This success sets a new benchmark for the entire ministry. It allows us to see that people are interested in what we do, even during the rough seasons. We are still contributing to the Great Commission, and that’s what God sees. Whether it’s photo galleries, video-based productions, or social media, it’s all going to contribute to the big picture: pointing people to Jesus. That’s our mission. That’s what we’re called to do.
As we reflect on our journey and look toward the horizon, we recognize that organizational growth demands a parallel maturity in our execution. We must continually refine our strategies, expand our outlooks, and understand that the methods of the past will not always carry us into the future. Here are 4 future goals and visions:
>> Audience Engagement: Optimizing Our Email Distribution Ecosystem
A key operational priority for our ministry is to optimize our email distribution network. Our monthly digital updates reach a significant audience, and we're taking steps to improve the quality of our presentation and expand our reach.
Our dual-focused strategy involves refining the content, design, and faith-based value presented in every digital mailing, while simultaneously deploying data-driven growth strategies to expand our subscriber base. By enhancing the substance of our communications and scaling the number of individuals we reach, we aim to build a more engaged, connected community of believers who are consistently equipped by our media outreach.
>> Future Outlook: The Cross First News Weekly Broadcast
Looking ahead, our ultimate vision for CrossFirstNews.com is the launch of a dedicated weekly video broadcast. Built upon the foundation of our popular '5 Things to Think About' framework, this structured 10-to-11-minute weekly program will be designed to draw viewers back to the faith through intentional, curated segments.
The broadcast architecture will consistently feature:
-
Two Global News Stories evaluated through a faith-based perspective.
-
Two Scriptural Reflections rooted directly in God’s Word.
-
One Pastoral Segment, featuring a personal reflection or an inspirational 'Motivate Moment.'
Our goal is to formally pilot this weekly broadcast either by the conclusion of our 13th ministry year or at the launch of our 14th ministry year in September. We believe this initiative will serve as a cornerstone of our digital outreach, providing a consistent, high-impact resource that points our audience directly to Jesus Christ.
>> Financial Stewardship: Establishing & Growing the Contingency Fund
In April, our ministry was deeply blessed to receive one of our largest single donations to date, totaling just over $1,000. This milestone contribution arrived at a critical juncture for our financial health. Over the past few years, our organization has navigated challenging seasons of operating in the red, which unfortunately culminated in March with $108 in unexpected overdraft fees.
The timely arrival of this $1,000+ donation allowed our leadership to take immediate, proactive steps toward long-term stabilization. We utilized these funds to establish a dedicated secondary account within our primary financial institution to serve as an organizational contingency fund. Moving forward, our strategic goal is to consistently grow this reserve, ensuring our nonprofit remains financially resilient, well-protected against future shortfalls, and fully equipped to sustain our ongoing mission.
>> Strategic Evolution: Shifting to a Quarterly Production Model
Over the past few years, it has become increasingly evident that maintaining a monthly project schedule is no longer aligned with the scale and accelerated growth of our organization. As our platforms expand and reach an ever-growing number of souls globally, our operational strategy must evolve to sustain this momentum.
Moving forward, M.King Media INC. will officially transition from monthly media releases to a focused, quarterly project model. This strategic shift will allow our team to dedicate greater depth, higher production value, and intentional marketing focus to each initiative. By adjusting our cadence, we ensure that every flagship project is fully optimized to maximize its kingdom impact, preserve ministry resources, and effectively support our long-term vision for global digital discipleship.

Q&A with M.King: Behind the Global Success of "Easter Around the World"
This Q&A with M.King explores the recent global success of the 'Easter Around the World' digital gallery and how a simple curiosity about global traditions—from the kites of Bermuda to the rituals of the Philippines—sparked a significant win for the organization’s mission of digital discipleship.
Q: "M.King, the gallery saw over 260 visitors from across the globe. What was your first reaction regarding the reach of CrossFirstNews.com?"
M.King: I’m thankful for every single reaction, save, and share. You never truly know what media is doing to someone’s heart, and for me, that’s the big thing. You have to walk this thing out by faith. It’s like Jesus and the ten lepers—only one came back to say thank you. Was His mission a failure? No. He knew what He was called to do. I’m thankful for every eye that viewed that gallery because only God knows what's happening in their life, and I’m thankful He used us to contribute to it.
Q: How does seeing people from different time zones engage with one digital gallery validate your mission as a 501(c)(3)?
M.King: We often find ourselves in seasons where we look at what we're doing and question God's will. We think it’s point A to point B, but sometimes God takes us into the wilderness. Like Elijah by the river being fed by the raven—it might not seem like much, but God is still at work. For our organization, this is a "big win." It’s a sign that God is moving in the still, small ways that matter most to others. It proves that even in the quiet seasons, we are still a digital lifeline.
Q: Why do you think 260+ people chose to explore these global traditions rather than typical holiday media?
M.King: It started with one simple question: "How does Bermuda celebrate Good Friday?" It was a picture of a butterfly kite. I think people checked it out because of curiosity. We can get so filled with how we do things for the holidays; it’s refreshing to come out of our comfort zone and see what others do. Broadening your mindset is a risk for some people, but doing it in a gallery setting made it an interesting way to step out and see how the global family celebrates our Savior.
Q: How does this success influence upcoming projects in the future?
M.King: This success sets a new benchmark for the entire ministry. It allows us to see that people are interested in what we do, even during the rough seasons. We are still contributing to the Great Commission, and that’s what God sees. Whether it’s photo galleries, video-based productions, or social media, it’s all going to contribute to the big picture: pointing people to Jesus. That’s our mission. That’s what we’re called to do.

Q&A with M.King: Behind The Gallery - 'Easter Around the World'
In this special Q&A, we sit down with M.King to discuss the 'Easter Around the World' gallery on CrossFirstNews.com. This project was a massive undertaking, covering ten distinct cultures and exploring the unique ways they celebrate the resurrection of our Savior.
Q: What made you want to move beyond common Western symbols and highlight these specific global rituals for an "Easter Around the World" gallery?
M.King: You know, when it came down to what we were going to do for April, I really started thinking. I felt like the story of what Jesus went through—the Passion Play and the journey to the Cross—has been done so many times. I wanted something I could look at with fresh eyes, and something our audience could see through a new perspective.
It made me wonder: How do other countries celebrate Easter? My curiosity was just piqued. I wanted to go beyond the traditional Passion Play and see how other cultures celebrate. We know there are so many ways people celebrate Christmas, so I wanted to see that same variety for Easter. At the end of the day, that’s how we stumbled upon this project.
Q: From the "Exploding Cart" in Italy to the "Sawdust Carpets" of Guatemala, was there one tradition in particular that "shocked and surprised" you personally during the research phase?
M.King: There was a lot that took me by surprise! One was the kites on Good Friday in Bermuda; I didn’t know a schoolteacher originally came up with that tradition.
Another one I loved, which I thought was really beautiful, was in Guatemala. They make these colorful sawdust carpets in the streets. It’s funny because over here we enjoy sand art, but they take different colors of sawdust, flowers, and fruits to make these massive, beautiful designs. That was a real surprise for me because it’s like their version of street art, but it’s how they celebrate Holy Week.
Q: How does a digital gallery format help a modern audience bridge the gap between ancient traditions and living hope?
M.King: I think it reminds us that we don't have a "claim" on Easter. We didn't start it. Sometimes, here in the United States, we tend to feel like we’re the center of every modern celebration—like the red-suited Santa Claus, which came from a Coca-Cola ad.
But with Easter, we have to understand it was being celebrated long before America was even founded. Instead of thinking Jesus died for "them" and we need to go tell "them" about it, maybe we need to understand that Jesus died for all of us. These other cultures have something to teach us, too.
Q: As people scroll through these ten slides, what is the one thing you hope stays with them when they finally reach the end of the journey?
M.King: As people scroll through, I want them to realize there is always something new to learn. We don’t know it all. God has so much He wants to share with us, and learning can actually be fun! You never stop learning. I believe the more we learn as believers, the better we can share our faith with other cultures—and the better they can share their faith back with us. It’s a family thing. We’re one big family celebrating the resurrection of our Savior all over the world.

Q&A with M.King: The AI Coordinator Initiative
In this exclusive Q&A with M.King, M.King opens up about The AI Coordinator Initiative, the "why" behind these eight new positions, and the specific roles they play in preparing M.King Media INC for its future.
M.King Media has always been about storytelling. What inspired the decision to formally launch the AI Coordinator Initiative now?
M.King: You know, God has always been encouraging me and moving me forward. The era of me wearing so many different hats is shifting. My desire to learn hasn’t reached its end, but the season of me trying to handle marketing, social media, operations, and administration all by myself has.
I don't think we can continue doing God’s will the way He wants—and the way He’s planned—with me trying to do it all alone. Logically, people often try to do everything themselves, but I’ve been praying for more time. The Lord spoke to my spirit about using AI. We’ve been implementing it slowly into M.King Media INC., but then God told me to create these 8 AI Coordinator positions literally. It’s exciting to use technology to help expand our scope and mission.
Adding 8 new AI Coordinator positions is a significant investment! Can you tell us about the specific roles these coordinators will play in the organization's daily operations?"
M.King: So, as far as it goes for these eight new AI Coordinator positions, these are the roles they’re pretty much going to play in the daily operations of our organization to help us do God's will:
-
Strategic Coordinator: This is a higher-level position to help us create strategies that are simple to understand. They look at a project and apply tasks to the various coordinator roles below to meet our corporate goals.
-
Marketing Coordinator: They come up with the practices for us to implement—assisting in brand strategies, keeping us consistent, and identifying new, creative ways to increase our brand awareness.
-
Scheduling Coordinator: This role creates our weekly schedules to ensure our time and efforts are being invested and used in the best way possible.
-
Grants & Fundraising Coordinator: Their job is to seek out financial opportunities (non-lending) to help us further the mission of M.King Media INC.
-
Social Media Coordinator: They coordinate the precise types of posts, hashtags, and ideas to get the most spiritual ROI and impact, while developing and curating engaging content.
-
Board of Directors Coordinator: This role comes up with the best practices on how we handle and maintain our relationship with the Board of Directors.
-
Financial Data Coordinator: They observe and analyze our financial data to identify trends and ensure we are using the best practices.
-
Project Research Coordinator: This role provides deep research for our productions, whether it’s historical or news-centric—responsible for fact-checking, finding stories, and locating archival footage and photos.
By bringing these roles in, it's really about making sure we aren't just busy, but that we're being effective with what we've been given.
When looking for our 8 new coordinators, what were the 'must-have' qualities you were searching for? Was it more about technical skill or creative intuition?
M.King: To be honest, I wanted a balance of both. Initially, our first coordinator started with small technical projects—things like correcting grammar and helping us draft press releases. But as I looked at these eight new positions, I realized I wanted both technical skill and creative intuition.
One of the main reasons we started using AI for press releases was that I wanted to step away from my own voice for a moment. That isn't a negative thing, but you don't always want everything to sound like the same person; audiences can get overwhelmed by that. Using AI to generate ideas, results, and information provided a fresh perspective. That was the real selling point for this project—finding that perfect balance between the two.
Some in the creative industry are wary of AI. How do these new roles enhance, rather than replace, the human creativity that M.King Media INC. is known for?
M.King: You know, it’s funny—I think I touched on this earlier, but I truly believe AI doesn't replace creativity; it enhances it.
I was recently working on the St. Patrick’s Day featured gallery for crossfirstnews.com, and I ended up talking to the AI Coordinator. I asked if there was anything else I could do to wrap up the gallery, and it shared two facts with me that I hadn't even considered. One was about the Potato Famine—how millions died, and millions more ended up coming to the U.S. and Canada, bringing their passions and ideals for St. Patrick with them.
The other one was a real surprise: Did you know the first recorded St. Patrick’s Day parade took place in St. Augustine, Florida? That’s the nation’s oldest city, and it's just a stone’s throw away from my hometown of Jacksonville!
I think AI definitely adds elements to our projects that help us shock and surprise people. And hey, it may even shock and surprise people right to Christ.
Where do you see the AI Coordinator Initiative leading M.King Media INC. in the next 2 to 5 years?
M.King: Looking down the road from now, I see M.King Media INC. reaching a much larger audience—reaching more souls and pointing more people to Christ. I see us 'digging deeper into the soil,' if that makes sense. I don’t necessarily want to expand the organization beyond its bounds; I want us to go deeper.
I see us having the funding to take our ministry further out there and create even more compelling, deep-dive media. One of my big goals is to see Cross First News become a weekly broadcast.
The sky is truly the limit now that the walls that were hindering me are broken down. You know, AI can be a scary thing, and it definitely makes mistakes. But at the end of the day, with the right focus, the right mindset, and a willingness to learn before you tell AI what to do, I believe it’s going to be a good thing—not only for right now, but for our entire future.

Q&A with M.King: The Vision Behind CrossFirstNews.com 3.0
In this month’s Q&A, we spoke with M. King about the recent upgrade of CrossFirstNews.com. We discussed his vision behind the changes and how this new version will significantly benefit the website’s viewers.
Big changes recently took place at CrossFirstNews.com. Can you tell us about them?
M.King: Yes. Just recently, we made major changes to our website. Essentially, the original site was just one news feed with a sidebar. That sidebar contained all your information—latest news from M. King Media, press releases, access to our YouTube channel, and promotions for our monthly media distribution.
I felt God leading me to move the website forward and change things around. When you looked at the site on mobile, things weren't coming together the way they should; the flow wasn't as effective as it could be. I felt the Lord leading me to study local news websites and base our layout more on that, as opposed to the news aggregator style of sites like Yahoo News or Google News.
What did it take to move CrossFirstNews into "Version 3"?
M.King: A lot had to take place behind the scenes, including a great deal of research. When you're working with only one news feed, it’s very simple and easy to maintain. We went from one feed to about eight. We now have U.S. News, World News, Opinions, History, Israel News, Entertainment, and Politics. I’m pretty sure I’m missing one, but that’s the gist of it!
We had to create different feeds for different subject matter, which was a huge challenge. We also had to realign the website to be more user-friendly. We researched local news sites to understand their flow and how to make our site easier to navigate as a professional news source.
A lot of work clearly went into this revamp. What motivated you to make this change, and do you think it will help the website have a greater impact?
M.King: I truly feel this change is going to help the website have a greater impact. The information is now easier to understand. I believe there is a market for a website that brings different Christian resources together under one roof.
There is a place for a site like this—one that not only conducts investigative research but is also a place you can visit daily to know what’s going on in the Christian faith. That is my motivation: to keep building what God has put in my heart. I absolutely believe this will continue to have a greater impact.
Now that Version 3 is live, what is next? What does M. King Media see on the horizon for CrossFirstNews.com?
M.King: Currently, we want to advertise and get the website out there more. We’re looking into Facebook ads and increased social media promotion to draw people in. We want them to see us as their "Cross First" news source.
Our goal is to push the website out, get more feedback, and get more people interested. The website, unfortunately, is a "loss leader," but as long as we can lead the lost to Christ and help people understand what’s going on in their faith—making smarter, wiser disciples—then at the end of the day, everything’s going to be alright.
